About The Shopper Journal

The Shopper Journal publishes hands-on reviews of everyday products: the things you buy to fix a small problem at home, in the garage or on the car. We buy the products, use them the way you would, and tell you plainly what worked.

Who runs this site

The Shopper Journal is operated by Sinuvo. Some of our reviews rank one of our own products #1. When they do, the page says so at the top and in the footer, and the page is an advertisement. See our advertising disclosure.

How we test

• We buy at retail. Every product is bought the way a reader would buy it.
• Real use. We test on the real thing: real cars, real homes, real everyday problems.
• One scorecard per review. Every product in a review is scored on the same criteria, and the page lists them.
• We check back. We look again weeks later to see what held up.
